Love having the kiddos over today. They are such a joy and a handful. Going to have a wonderful time with all 4 pretty soon... Getting ready for Bella's field day tomorrow. Going to such a blast.. Live life to the fullest, that is exactly what I intend to do! Life is to short to having a lot of drama in it. So I live life as if there is no tomorrow.. Happiness is when you have the love of Jesus and your family in it..  #lifeisgood

HOMESCHOOL FOR BELLA

This will be the first year of homeschooling Bella.. Entering 4th grade.. I just finished reading a guide on how to and they called me "accidental homeschooler" so be it.. I am going to teach my child of the methods I used when I a child.. Old school was good enough for me, and it will be good enough for my Bella Boo.. lol Really though I want to be a bigger part of Bella's learning and I want her to learn the true value of learning.. It is going to be tough but we both are looking forward to a new chapter in our lives.. We will be starting a summer program.. So wish me luck and if you are a homeschooler please send some advice my way.. Looking forward to a wonderful 4th grade year!

Tess's Carrot Cake~

Made this delicious carrot cake for game night. (Redskins fell short of the playoffs) It was so moist and rich thought I would share it with y'all.. Practicing on my photography I will get there one day.. But for now these pictures have to do..

On to the recipe:

2 Cups of Sugar
2 Cups of Vegetable oil (prefer to olive oil for this recipe)
4 Eggs
2 Cups of Shredded Carrots

Mix with whisk handle on your blender all together...

Sift together:

2 Cups of All Purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Baking Soda

Add 1/2 to wet mixture slowly we don't want flour all over the place like I have done many times. Blend well add the other 1/2 add carrots to the mix.. Preheat oven to 350 and cook for 55 mins in a bunt cake mold...
It is going to make your house smell so good..

Now for the frosting:

1 stick of soften butter
1 8oz package of cream cheese soften
1 lb of confectioner sugar what a fancy word for powered sugar I always thought, anyways back to the frosting.
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups of pecans (save a bit on the side for the topping)
combine all in mixing bowl using the paddle on the mixer.. and  that's it.. The frosting is so gooood...
P.S. you can put either half the powdered sugar or all of it it's your choice.. The fun thing is to explore and you will have fun doing it..

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheet with parchment paper.
With an electric mixer, cream the butter and both sugars together until smooth. Add the vanilla and egg, mixing well. Sift together the flour and baking soda. Spoon the flour mixture gradually into the creamed sugar mixture. Stir in the cranberries, white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. Drop by heaping spoonfuls, about 2 tablespoons, onto the prepared baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake one sheet at a time until lightly golden on top and the edges are set, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on the sheet about 5 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Life is a gift. You didn't asked to be here, but God willed it, and He doesn't make any mistakes. You are here because He has a purpose for you. And the funny thing about God is that He can take us with all our frailties, and work beautiful
magic in our lives - IF we will let Him. For some reason, He gives us a choice in how to live our life. The best gift we can give Him and ourselves is to trust in Him, and listen for His wisdom. He speaks to us more than we know. We just have to make ourselves available to receive what He is sending.

Let's live this and every day KNOWING that God loves and values us more than we can comprehend. His wish for us is to live out the exciting, fulfilling purpose He had in mind when He gave us this incredible miracle that is called LIFE.
